PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On June 20, 2023 the Board of Supervisors approved an outdoor festival application for the Northern Nights Music Festival.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Pursuant to Mendocino County Code 6.16 approve the application for the Northern Nights Music Festival to be held July 18, 2024, through July 21, 2024 and authorize the Tax Collector to issue an Outdoor Festival license. This event is sponsored by the Northern Nights Music Group, LLC.

The event will be held at Cooks Valley Campground, the principal location being 83950 Road 442E in Piercy. The event includes camping, live music, and provisions for food, cannabis, and alcohol vendors. Over the course of the three-day event, approximately eight thousand (8,000) attendees, including two thousand (2,000) staff and performers, are expected to attend.

The Tax Collector has compiled the information required to be submitted with the application, attached to the agenda for reference, and after finding it to be complete, submits the application to the Board for approval pursuant to section 6.16.040 of the Mendocino County Code.
