SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The California State Library offers the Book to Action Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funding opportunity for public libraries, which provides book-themed programming supplies and training in order for staff to provide materials and programs on important issues in the community and to encourage reading, community discussion, and action.
The Library's Book to Action selection is Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, with the goal of helping to foster an inclusive environment. The local Pomo people will have a platform to discuss and share traditions and knowledge and discuss needs for equity in a welcoming library space.
