PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On July 10, 2018 the Board approved Agreement No. 18-109.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Human Resources (HR) oversees and conducts employment related investigations. Depending on the nature and complexity of the incident being investigated, HR may conduct the investigation internally with assistance from County Counsel, or for the most complex investigations, utilize Liebert Cassidy Whitmore (LCW) to assist in managing the investigation. HR has a specific Agreement, separate from other contracted services already in place with LCW, for personnel investigations. LCW specializes in employment related law and has extensive knowledge and understanding of public agencies. Their long term relationship with the County of Mendocino is beneficial to both parties. LCW will continue to utilize their exceptional skills and professional judgement in employment law to provide the County with complex investigation services.

Human Resources requests approval to increase the current Agreement by $30,000 to cover the personnel investigation services that are ongoing during Fiscal Year 20-21.
