SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Library is required to report donations of $10,000 or more to the Board of Supervisors, and the Fort Bragg Branch has received a very generous endowment of $100,000 from the Richard Lawrence Kilday Living Trust. The Library asks the Supervisors to enact the Proclamation recognizing the generosity of the gift to the Fort Bragg Library and community.
Richard Lawrence Kilday was a long-time resident of Fort Bragg who ran the beloved "For The Shell of It" store in Fort Bragg for over 20 years. Throughout the years Richard Kilday became very involved in the Fort Bragg community and was kind enough to include the Fort Bragg Library in his Trust. Rhonda Stoker, as the Trustee of Richard Lawrence Kilday Living Trust, is carrying out his wishes.
