Approve Agreement with Nuestra Alianza de Willits, in the amount of $60,000, to provide Mental Health Services Act Prevention and Early Intervention services, effective upon full execution through June 30, 2024; authorize the Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Nuestra Alianza de Willits provides important services for the Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) subsection of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). Through the proposed Agreement, Nuestra Alianza de Willits will provide valuable outreach to underserved populations, specifically the Spanish speaking population in and around Willits, to access mental health care. Nuestra Alianza de Willits helps people navigate the mental illness system of care, helps Spanish speakers access assessments, and refers to other providers when necessary. They offer a range of other wellness activities such as tax preparation and navigation for public benefits programs, while providing important mental health checkups. These services are sometimes the only accessible link to mental health services due to the geographic isolation combined with some of the cultural barriers of the underserved community.
