Ratify Grant Agreement No. 5GG21107 with California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) in the amount of $200,000, for evacuation pre-planning and preparedness support, effective June 14, 2022 through March 15, 2024; authorize the Mendocino County Deputy Chief Executive Officer or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On June 10, 2022 Mendocino County signed and returned the proposed Grant Agreement No. 5GG21107 with California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire), in the amount of $200,000 for evacuation pre-planning and preparedness support, effective June 14, 2022 through March 15, 2024. Through this Agreement Mendocino County is to secure geographic information system evacuation route planning tools in order to facilitate future planning and response efforts. This includes securing vendor services, evaluating existing evacuation zones, making any helpful modifications, transitioning response protocols to the appropriate platform, and conducting an advanced evacuation route gap analysis across Mendocino County.
