SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Across the nation, people are recognizing the week of May 17-23, 2026, as Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week and acknowledging the valuable service provided by EMS responders. In recognition of this vital public service, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors is requested to proclaim the week of May 17 - 23, 2026, as Emergency Medical Services Week. EMS teams consist of emergency physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, firefighters, dispatch centers, law enforcement personnel, educators, administrators, and many others.
