PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On July 26, 2022, the Board of Supervisors approved an Agreement with Planet Labs PBC. to Provide Satellite Imaging Services in the Amount of $351,240 Effective July 27, 2022, through July 26, 2023.

On August 29, 2023, the Board of Supervisors retroactively approved an Amendment to BOS Agreement 22-194 to extend the term through September 30, 2023.

On September 26, 2023, the Board of Supervisors approved BOS Agreement 23-169 to extend the term from October 1, 2023, through October 1, 2024.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Under this contract Planet Labs PBC will continue to host and serve Sky Sat Archive imagery as well as ongoing Sky Sat Monitoring imagery collected throughout the contract period over Mendocino Cannabis Department's areas of interest. This contract will be utilized for the Department to perform remote inspections as well as ensuring fair and equitable maps for cannabis planning services. Remote inspections can allow the Department to issue a Cannabis Cultivation Business License (CCBL) without having to perform a physical site inspection. The ability to perform remote site inspections has been key to the Department completing the backlog of CCBL applications.
