RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Adopt Resolution authorizing the County of Mendocino to enter into an amendment in the amount of $177,952 for Contract No. C9801084 with the State of California for the Per Capita Grant Program under the California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access for All Act of 2018; authorize the Chief Executive Officer or designee to execute amendment on behalf of the County of Mendocino; and authorize the Chair to sign the same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On February 8, 2022, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 22-031 which authorized the General Services Agency Director/Purchasing Agent to submit an application to accept Per Capita funding for County owned parks through the California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access for All Act of 2018.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Funds are available for local park rehabilitation, creation, and improvement grants to local governments on
a per capita basis. Grant recipients are encouraged to utilize awards to rehabilitate existing infrastructure
and to address deficiencies in neighborhoods lacking access to the outdoors (PRC ?80061(a)). Mendocino
