SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Mendocino Redwood Company (MRC) is requesting the County to vacate the County right-of-way for Rockport Street (County Road 429A). The road rests entirely within a parcel owned by MRC and does not provide access to any properties not owned by MRC. This road was conveyed to the County in 1939 by the Cottoneva Redwood Company with the condition that when the County "abandons maintenance of said road", the right-of-way will cease. It currently provides access to multiple buildings owned by MRC.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION/MOTION:
Postpone the public hearing and decline to vacate the road and provide direction to staff.
