Approval of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the U.S. Capitol Police and the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office for law enforcement services security coverage during Congressional events in Mendocino County, effective upon MOU execution until terminated by either party; authorize the Sheriff to sign future amendments that do not affect the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will enable the Sheriff's Office to provide security coverage for members of Congress during Congressional events, upon request by the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) and approval by the Sheriff. Following each event, the Sheriff's Office will document staff time and bill the USCP for actual hours at established weighted rates. This partnership ensures coordinated law enforcement presence, enhances public safety, and provides full cost recovery to the County.
