RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve allocation letter and submission of workplan and program budgets each fiscal year with California Department of Public Health, in the amount of $413,030.00, to support sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention and control activities, and any other conditions stipulated by the California Department of Public Health, Sexually Transmitted Diseases Control Branch, effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2031; authorize the Health Services Director or designee to accept the initial allocation and any additional allocation which may be disbursed.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
This allocation combines the STD Core and STD Prevention and Collaboration allocations authorized by California Health and Safety Code HSC Section 120511. The funds must be used for the implementation of public health activities related to monitoring, prevention, testing, treatment and linkage to and retention in care activities for the most vulnerable and underserved individuals living with, or at high risk for, STIs. Activities may include integrated services for STIs, viral hepatitis, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, and drug overdose, to the extent they improve health outcomes for people living with, or at risk for STIs.
