PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On June 23, 2024, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Master Position Allocation Table for the FY 2024-2025 Budget, Resolution Number 24-098.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Human Resources Department is charged, as part of the overall maintenance of the classification and compensation plan, to evaluate current classifications, create new classifications (including appropriate salary levels), reclassify positions, examine requests for salary grade adjustments, analyze allocations, and make recommendations for additions, modifications, and corrections.
At its October 16, 2024, meeting, the Civil Service Commission approved the Permit Technician I and Permit Technician II classifications as part of the reorganization in Planning and Building Services. With the department's request of the addition of 5.0 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) to the Position Allocation Table for Permit Technician II, the reorganization is due in part to staffing levels, volume of work, and increased complexity in the building permit application process due to the multiple disasters that have impacted the Count...
