PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On June 3, 2025, Board of Supervisors approved Agreement No. 25-097 with Kirk Gorman to provide part-time Child Support Attorney Services to Mendocino County Child Support Services, effective July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Department of Child Support Services requests Board approval of First Amendment to BOS Agreement #25-097 in the amount of $30,000 for a new total of $186,000 for part-time Child Support Attorney Services effective July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.

Based on legislative and guide line support calculation software changes as well as court hearings set outside our regularly scheduled appearances in Mendocino County Superior Court, the part-time Child Support Attorney's hours are projected to be 10-16 hours per week, a six hour weekly increase. Child Support Attorney will not exceed 20 hours per week.

Mendocino County Child Support Services is funded by federal and state child support revenue. There is no General Fund ask.
