PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On April 25, 2023, The Board of Supervisors accepted the Mendocino County Juvenile Justice Plan (MCJJP) dated March 24, 2023, developed and approved by the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council, which represents Mendocino County's Comprehensive Juvenile Justice Plan (CMJJP) and approved the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24.

On April 24, 2024, the Board of Supervisors accepted the JJCPA budget for FY 2024-25.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On or before October 1st of each year, each county is required to submit to the Office of Youth and Community Restoration (OYCR) a report on its Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) and Youthful Offender Block Grant (YOBG) programs during the preceding year. For JJCPA, this requirement can be found at Government Code (GC) 30061(b)(4)(C) and for YOBG it can be found at Welfare & Institutions Code (WIC) 1961(c). These code sections both call for a consolidated report form that includes a description of the programs and other activities supported by JJCPA and/or YOBG funds, an accounting of all JJCPA and YOBG expenditures during the prior fiscal year, and coun...
