Approve amendment to BOS Agreement No. 24-102 with MCAVHN (Mendocino County AIDS/Viral Hepatitis Network) Care and Prevention Network, increasing the amount by $306,000 for a new total of $406,000, to provide harm reduction services and needle exchange throughout Mendocino County, effective July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2026; authorize the Health Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
MCAVHN (Mendocino County AIDS/Viral Hepatitis Network) Care and Prevention Network has been serving the local Mendocino County community since 1987, providing services and support to persons affected by substance use disorders and behavioral health conditions, as well as harm reduction services for the prevention of Hepatitis C and HIV. Through previous Agreements with the County of Mendocino, MCAVHN has provided services in compliance with best practices of the California Department of Public Health's Syringe Exchange Certification Program.
