RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Authorize the Chief Executive Officer or her/his designee to purchase Microsoft 365 licensing in the amount of $550,533, up to $2,476,000 over a four year term; authorize the Chief Executive Officer or her/his designee to purchase additional Microsoft 365 licensing up to an additional $100,000; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or her/his designee to execute any and all documents in relation to the transaction.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
In November 2018 the Board of Supervisors approved the Information Technology (IT) Master Plan. On February 8, 2021 the Board of Supervisors approved funding during FY 2020-21 mid-year budget presentation and prioritized the County's transition to Office 365. On January 4, 2022 the Board of Supervisors approved an agreement award to eMazzanti Technologies in the amount of $100,780 for the electronic mail (GroupWise) migration to Office 365 and related services.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The IT Master Plan identified the recommended migration from the existing electronic mail platform to cloud based Office 365 after resilient infrastructure improvements were completed.
