Approve Memorandum of Understanding with Mendocino County Fire Chiefs Association, to loan County-owned radio communications equipment to facilitate enhanced interagency communication, effective upon full execution until terminated by either party; authorize the Chief Executive Officer or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The proposed Memorandum of Understanding will allow the County of Mendocino to loan radio communications equipment to Mendocino County Fire Chiefs Association (MCFCA) including handheld radio cache, Bendix King CalFire approved BKR 5000 handheld radios and accessories (batteries, antennas, microphones, etc.). The radio cache was purchased using Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) funds at the direction of the HSGP authorized body of 5. This Memorandum of Understanding will expand interoperability between fire agencies and improve response coordination efforts throughout the County.
