The Board annually recognizes the contributions of the Clerk of the Board.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Clerk of the Board performs a variety of administrative duties, including preparing, scheduling, and managing Board agendas for the Board of Supervisors (BOS) and their affiliated Standing Committees; reviewing and processing of all agenda items submitted by County Departments and the Board of Supervisors; providing training to employees on use of the agenda item submission software and serving as the direct support contact for that program; carrying out records execution and oversees records management, including resolutions, ordinances, and minutes dating back to the founding of Mendocino County in 1850; working towards digitization of historical records for easier public access; maintaining permanent records for nearly 60 County boards, committees, and commissions, including current membership, governance and foundational documents, generating oaths of office, posting of vacancy notices and other information as may be required by each board; preparing and verifying information providing in the Local Appointments List as required by state law; processing of all assessment appeals for the County, involving working closely with the Assessor-Recorder's office, maintaining appeal records and ensuring they are co...
