Approve the Operational Agreement between Mendocino County Department of Social Services, Family and Children's Services and Project Sanctuary for Domestic Violence Services, effective upon execution through June 30, 2031; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize the Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Project Sanctuary provides safe, emergency housing and crisis counseling services on a 24-hour basis to victims of domestic violence and their children. Additional services include assistance with filing temporary restraining orders and accompaniment during interactions with judicial, medical, and social service systems. Trained crisis-line staff are available at all times to support victims and coordinate needed responses.

Mendocino County Department of Social Services (MCDSS), Family and Children's Services (FCS) and Project Sanctuary have developed this Operational Agreement to formalize collaboration in providing the maximum available assistance to domestic violence survivors residing within Mendocino County. Both parties mutually acknowledge that cooperation and coordinated service delivery enhance safety, access to resources, and long-term outcomes for victims.
