Summary of Request:
SB 820 authorizes the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) or any local jurisdiction to seize specified property, after obtaining an inspection warrant, in a location and impose requirements for notice of seizure, forfeiture proceedings, and the sale and distribution of proceeds upon a judgment in favor of the forfeiture, as specified. SB 820 as written applies to operations harvesting, drying, or processing more than 1,000 living cannabis plants.
