Approve retroactive purchase of three Unfilmed Omni VIII Mil Grade White Phosphor Binoculars, including accessories and helmet mount in the amount of $37,458.56, and approve purchase of Two Tait P25 Mobile Repeater in the amount of $39,694.85, from the FY20 Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) for the Mendocino County Sheriff-Coroner's Office; and addition of equipment to the County's list of fixed assets under Org VT20.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On January 26, 2021 the Board of Supervisors approved Resolution 21-012 authorizing the CEO/Director of Emergency Services, and/or the Undersheriff to execute for, and on behalf of, Mendocino County any actions necessary for the administration of the State Homeland Security Grant Program (FY20, FY21, FY22) the Emergency Management Performance Grant (FY20, FY21, FY22) and the Emergency Management Performance Grant Supplemental (FY20).

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Homeland Security Grant is awarded on an annual basis. Expenditures under the grant must promote public safety and will be used by the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office for SWAT operations, emergency response purposes and other situations that endanger public safety.
