PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The role of the Commission is established in Chapter 2.5 of the Mendocino County Fish and Game Code; this role includes recommending expenditures to the Board of Supervisors from the Fish and Wildlife Propagation Fund that are in accordance with the requirements of the Fish and Game Code Sections 13100-13104.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Fish and Game Commission is requesting that the Board of Supervisors approve the allocation of County Fish and Game Propagation Funds in the amount of $82,521.00 for five grants, which the Commission has budgeted and is available for this purpose. The Commission met on April 14, 2026 and May 5, 2026, evaluated and ranked 13 applications; ultimately recommending five projects to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) for funding.
