Approve Agreement with Mendocino County Tourism Commission in the amount estimated at $1,164,000, to promote County tourism on behalf of the Mendocino County Business Improvement District, effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027; authorize the Chief Executive Officer or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
In 2006, the Board added Chapter 5.140 to the Mendocino County Code (MCC) and created the Mendocino County Lodging Business Improvement District (BID). In 2015, the Board amended Chapter 5.140, in part requiring designation of a "Contractor" for administration of the BID. December 8, 2015, the Board adopted Resolution 15-179 designating the Mendocino County Tourism Commission (MCTC) as Mendocino County's Contractor for this purpose. On February 9, 2016, the Board entered into their first Contract with MCTC; every year thereafter a similar Contract has been approved. On June 6, 2023, the Board adopted Ordinance 4524, which amended Chapter 5.14. On April 22, 2025, the Board received the BID Annual Report. On July 29, 2025, the Board approved the most recent Contract No. BOS-25-126 with MCTC for continued administration of the BID through June 30, 2026.
