SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) is requesting the approval of appropriation of Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission (MHSOAC) Grant Funds in the amounts of $687,753for WZ 86-2189, and $51,075 for WZ 86-2239, and $738,828 in WZ 82-7801 to be able to expend the funding from the original award for a fifth year in order for our local grant partners to continue to provide mental health services and outreach to students in our County schools. The grant provides funding for stigma reduction, education in youth and TAY, peer support for students, mental health services provided in a school campus setting, workforce shortages in mental health professionals, and reduce generational impacts from mental health struggles.
