RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve amendment to Agreement No. BOS-24-026 with Willdan Financial Services, in the amount of $1,350, for a new total of $7,525, for services related to continuing disclosure, California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission Senate Bill 1029, and arbitrage rebate services, effective July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024; authorize the Acting Auditor Controller Treasurer Tax Collector or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the maximum total amount beyond $50,000; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
California Senate Bill 1029 (SB 1029) titled "One Health Program: zoonotic diseases," was signed into law on September 30, 2022. This bill requires the administration of the "One Health Program" intended to develop a framework for State interagency coordination in response to zoonotic diseases and reducing hazards to human and nonhuman animal health. The California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission (CDIAC) developed guidance for issuers of public debt seeking to comply with the requirements of SB 1029. As a local government of the State of California, the County of Mendocino must comply with SB 1029, and utilize CDIAC guidelines.
