Approve Agreement with Kirk Gorman, Attorney at Law, in the amount of $132,000 to provide part-time Child Support Attorney Services effective July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024; authorize the Child Support Services Director to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Child Support Services requests Board approval of the Agreement with Kirk Gorman, Attorney at Law to provide professional child support attorney services between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024. Kirk Gorman is a subject matter expert and will serve as the department's attorney of record in all matters filed in relation to the establishment, enforcement, or modification of child support orders. Based upon current case load size, the professional legal work can be completed within 10 hours per week.
Mendocino County Child Support Services is funded by federal and state child support revenue. There is no cost to the General Fund.
