Approve Novation amendment to BOS Agreement No. 22-133 between Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) and Mendocino County Library in the amount of approximately $20,000 annually for the provision, installation, and maintenance of advanced network (Data) services to County Library sites, effective from the date of signing through June 30, 2024, and automatically renewing until termination of agreement; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Library has completed a Letter of Agency with the California State Library which contracts an aggregator to apply for E-Rate as well as CTF discounts on behalf of CENIC network consortium of participating libraries. On January 1st, 2024, ICEO was selected to take over the aggregator duties from the previous contractor, Columbia Telecommunications Corporation (CTC) which was approved as BOS agreement 22-133. The current expense for broadband at all six library branches is approximately $20,000 per year and will decrease further when additional E-Rate and CTF discounts have been applied.
