Approve Agreement with Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center in the amount of $139,697, to provide emergency shelter and resource services in Mendocino County, effective July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County currently contracts with Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center (MCHC) to provide shelter services and related resources to clients on the north coast, to address the needs of the Mendocino County Department of Social Services (MCDSS) General Assistance (GA) clients and Adult Protective Services (APS) clients, and all Mendocino County persons who are at risk of, or currently experiencing homelessness. MCHC provides beds, meals, shower and laundry facilities, phone access, mail delivery, other amenities, outreach, and housing assistance to qualified individuals.

In Fiscal Year (FY) 22-23, from July 2022 through December 2022, MCHC provided a total of 4,389 bed nights of shelter, for an average of 731 bed nights per month.
