Approve the request for Supervisor-Elects Madeline Cline and Bernie Novell to attend the 2024 California State Association of Counties (CSAC) annual meeting in Los Angeles, CA, from November 18, 2024, to November 22, 2024; and authorize the use of County general fund monies for associated expenses as allowed by Mendocino County Code Sec. 2.04.070 and Government Code 25208.4.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Supervisor-Elects Madeline Cline and Bernie Novell are requesting approval to attend the 2024 CSAC Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, CA, scheduled for November 18-22, 2024. As newly elected supervisors, their participation in this meeting will provide valuable training and orientation in preparation for their upcoming roles on the Board of Supervisors.

Per Mendocino County Code Sec. 2.04.070 and Government Code section 25208.4, the County may expend general fund monies to cover the costs associated with training for supervisors-elect, including travel, course fees, per diem expenses, and other relevant materials.

The CSAC Annual Meeting is a highly regarded event that offers critical training and networking opportunities, enhancing the effectiveness of county supervisors across the state.
