Approve retroactive allocation Agreement from the California Department of Health Care Services in the amount of $476,066 to support the California Children Services Program, Effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026; authorize the Health Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The California Children Services Program (CCS) provides diagnostic and treatment services, medical case management, and physical and occupational therapy services to children under age 21 with CCS-eligible medical conditions. The CCS program is administered as a partnership between county health departments and the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).

On August 29, 2025, Mendocino County Public Health (PH) CCS received Information Notice 25-02, with the approved budget allocation for fiscal year (FY) 2025-26 for CCS Program, from the DHCS.

On September 25, 2025, Public Health submitted the required CCS Budget Worksheet based on the approved allocation.

Since the proposed allocation was received after the effective date, the allocation is now retroactive. Additionally, due to time constraints, the proposed budget was submitted to DHCS on September 25, 2025, prior to Board of Supervisors approval. As a result, PH is now seeking retroactive approval of the allocation.
