Approve retroactive binding allocation Agreement Letter with California Department of Public Health for Future of Public Health (FoPH) funds, in the amount of $715,080 to support Local Health Jurisdictions and strengthen local infrastructure, effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027; authorize the Health Services Director, or designee, to accept the initial allocation and any additional allocation which may be disbursed from the Implementation Fund, execute any amendments, and sign the forthcoming Agreement.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
FoPH funds, originally authorized in the 2022 Budget Act (Chapter 29, Statutes of 2022), provided $200,400,000 annually to LHJs to support local public health workforce and infrastructure, referred to as Future of Public Health (FoPH) funding.
California Department of Public Health is allocating $715,080 each Fiscal Year of these FoPH funds to the County of Mendocino.
To accept the FoPH funding allocation, the Mendocino County Department of Public Health (PH) must execute and return the proposed binding Allocation Letter. The Allocation Letter outlines funding details and requirements, submission requirements, and reimbursement and invoicing details.
