PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On June 7, 2019 the Board of Supervisors approved an outdoor festival application for the Mendocino Music Festival.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Pursuant to Mendocino County Code 6.16 approve the application for the Mendocino Music Festival to be held July 15, 2023 through July 29, 2023 and authorize the Tax Collector to issue an Outdoor Festival license. This event is sponsored by the Mendocino Music Festival, a non-profit organization.

The Mendocino Music Festival includes live music including orchestra concerts, Big Band, chamber music ensembles, dance, blues, jazz, world, folk, bluegrass, and popular contemporary music and includes provisions for food and alcohol vendors. The event will be held in Mendocino, California at Headlands State Park with the principal location of 45100 Main Street, Mendocino. The event may draw up to 900 attendees per day including staff and performers.

The Tax Collector has compiled the information required to be submitted with the application, attached to the agenda for reference, and after finding it to be complete, submits the application to the Board for approval pursuant to section 6.16.040 of the Mendocino County Code.
