SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County Department of Social Services, Family and Children's Services, requests Board approval of the proposed Agreement with North Coast Opportunities, Inc. (NCO), to ensure availability of specific support services for foster children and their caregivers.

Starting January 1, 2018, California Department of Social Services (CDSS) gave counties the option to opt-in to the Emergency Child Care Bridge Program for foster children. The Bridge Program requires counties to contract with their local Child Care Resource and Referral programs to provide child care navigation and trauma-informed care trainings and coaching. NCO is the only Child Care Resource and Referral program in Mendocino County.
