Approve Agreement with First 5 Mendocino in the amount of $55,347, to provide Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) classes countywide, effective upon full execution through June 30, 2024; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
First 5 Mendocino introduced Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), an evidence-based program, to Mendocino County over ten years ago for families with questions about young children's behavior. The Triple P program has now evolved to help families with children of all ages find positive solutions to child behavioral problems and help with children who have a development delay or disability. Triple P is the parenting education curriculum adopted by Family & Children's Services (FCS) as part of the System Improvement Plan (SIP) for parents and caregivers involved with FCS, and for the general community to help prevent child abuse and neglect.
First 5 Mendocino is the only agency in the county that provides and coordinates training certification for Triple P instructors, which helps ensure fidelity to the training model.
