RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve second Amendment to BOS Agreement No. 20-121 with BI, Inc. increasing the total Agreement amount by $100,000 to provide electronic home detention monitoring devices for jail residents effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027; authorize the Sheriff to sign future amendments that do not affect the Agreement total; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On August 4, 2020, the Board approved a five-year Agreement with BI, Inc. in the total amount of $1,000,000 with the option to extend the term for three additional one-year periods. On June 24, 2025, the Board approved the first Amendment increasing the Agreement amount by $100,000 for a new total of $1,100,000 through June 30, 2026.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Sheriff's Office requests approval of a one-year amendment to BOS Agreement 20-121 with BI, Inc. for continued services of electronic home detention monitoring devices for Jail residents. The Agreement covers the cost of equipment, monitoring services, and training provided to the Sheriff's Office staff. This second Amendment will extend the termination date set out in BOS Agreement 20-121-A1 from June 30, 2026, to June 30, 2027, and will increase the Agreement total by $100,000 for a new Agreement total of $1,200,000.
