On April 23, 2024, the Board of Supervisor introduced and waived the first reading of the ordinance.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
County Counsel and the Executive Office worked with departments to identify existing boards, committees, commissions, and advisory bodies that are not required by statute, citizen's initiative, or other laws. After those meetings, it was unanimously recommended that the ordinance creating the Public Safety Advisory Board be amended to dissolve the Board. This change will reduce the administrative burden on the County.
