Summary of Request/Referral

Cannabis cultivators are having difficult times financially. To support the viability of this industry, some believe that developing greater allowances for cannabis facilities would benefit the industry. Planning and Building Services prepared a prior ordinance amendment to the Board in 2021, which would have allowed for additional allowances for cannabis facilities as recommended by the Non-Cultivation Working Group.  The ordinance was approved but then rescinded due to legal actions.
