RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Adopt Proclamation recognizing June 2026 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer+ (LQBTQIA+) Pride Month in Mendocino County; and approve flying the Pride Flag at the County of Mendocino Administration Center at 501 Low Gap Road, Ukiah each June; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors routinely adopts Proclamations recognizing various events and awareness days throughout the County and approved similar proclamation and flying of the Pride flag in 2025.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The County Board of Supervisors recognizes that our county is full of a diverse group of community members and further recognizes that all members of our LGBTQ+ community shall be included and welcomed in Mendocino County. The request also provides that the Pride Flag will be flown each June at the County Administrative office.
