Approve Agreement with Hagerty Consulting, Inc. in the amount of $99,910, to create and implement a comprehensive Mendocino County Flood Response Plan, effective upon full execution through May 31, 2027; authorize the Chief Executive Officer or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County is a region that is primarily rural, with the population uniquely dispersed over a variety of terrains vulnerable to natural disasters. Climate change has exacerbated natural hazards faced in Mendocino County, including but not limited to wildfire, drought, severe winter storms, associated flooding, erosion, landslides, and rising sea-levels, requiring additional resources to effectively plan, address, and respond. To help with this, in July 2025 the County of Mendocino issued Request for Proposal No. 022-25 with the intent to retain a qualified and experienced consultant to assist with creating and implementing a County-wide Mendocino County Flood Response Plan (MCFRP). Following the evaluation process, Hagerty Consulting Inc. was selected to provide the services and enter into an agreement with the County of Mendocino.
