Approve retroactive amendment to revenue Agreement No. PH-13-048 with Adventist Health Howard Memorial to serve as an Emergency Services Base Hospital, increasing the amount from $50,000 to $60,994, effective July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The State of California authorizes each county to develop an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program and to designate a Local Emergency Medical Services Agency (LEMSA) to oversee delivery of EMS within its geographical area. As documented in California Code, Base Hospitals must be designated by the LEMSA in order to provide medical control, direction, and supervision for personnel delivering emergency medical services.
Mendocino County's LEMSA has designated Adventist Health Howard Memorial, Mendocino Coast District Hospital, and Adventist Health Ukiah Valley as Base Hospitals for EMS providers in the different service areas throughout the County.
