RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve amendment to BOS Agreement No 18-126 with RTL in the amount of $25,000 for a new Agreement total of $225,000; extending the termination date of the Agreement from December 31, 2024, to June 30, 2025, to provide drug and alcohol laboratory testing services and supplies; authorize the Chief Probation Officer to sign any future amendments that do not increase the total amount of the Agreement; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Redwood Toxicology Laboratory provides all drug/alcohol testing devices, and all specimen testing, for individuals (adult and juvenile) who are required to drug test for the Probation Department per the terms and conditions of their probation or pretrial release, as well as for participants of Adult Drug Court.
Redwood Toxicology Laboratory, one of the nation's largest drug and alcohol testing laboratories, is the government services division of Alere Toxicology. Due to the nature of probation casework and court orders, the Probation Department requires accurate testing results as quickly as possible.
