RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve first amendment to BOS Agreement No. 22-112 with Karpel Solutions in the amount of $9,500 for a new total of $204,400 for additional user licenses for existing software contract for Public Defender/Alternate Defender's Office Case Management System, effective May 17, 2022, through August 21, 2024; authorize the Chief Executive Officer or designee to sign any future amendments up to 5% of the original Agreement amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
During FY 2020-21 mid-year budget, the Board of Supervisors allocated $1,000,000 to the IT reserve for the criminal justice case management system replacement. On May 17, 2022, BOS Approved Agreement No. 22-112 with Karpel Solutions in the Amount of $194,900 for the Replacement of the Public Defender Alternate/Defender's Office Case Management System; and approved an agreement with Karpel Solutions for software hosting of said system
