The Board periodically adopts revised rules of procedure. The current rules were adopted January 10, 2017 via Resolution No. 17-004.
Summary of Request:
Section 25003 of the California Government Code provides that a Board of Supervisors “may make and enforce rules and regulations necessary for the government of the board, the preservation of order, and the transaction of business.” The proposed Rules of Procedure contain a proposed change to Rule 12 regarding Board Member absences.
Alternative Action/Motion:
(1) Provide further direction to staff; (2) Continue consideration of revised Rules of Procedure for further review.
