In the Fiscal Year 2019/2020 state budget, Governor Newsom provided $23 million in new State General Funds to California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for home visiting services. CDPH released a Request for Supplemental Information (RSI) for the California Home Visiting Program (CHVP) to solicit applications from Local Health Jurisdictions for implementing home visiting as a primary intervention strategy for families from pregnancy through kindergarten entry, with a focus on innovation practice to meet local need.
