Approve Agreement with Buckelew Programs, in the amount of $65,000, to provide Mental Health Services Act Prevention and Early Intervention suicide prevention services, effective upon full execution through June 30, 2025; authorize the Health Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Buckelew Programs provides suicide prevention services to all of Mendocino County through the North Bay Suicide Prevention Hotline, and the new "988" Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Through the proposed Agreement, Buckelew Programs will provide culturally sensitive and timely suicide prevention through a toll-free number that is available to all residents of Mendocino County regardless of insurance status and will provide referrals to local providers for crisis assessments. Suicide prevention is one of the subsections of the Prevention and Early Intervention portion of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). The services provided by Buckelew Programs are part of the larger MHSA services provided in Mendocino County, and the addition of the "988" Suicide and Crisis Lifeline service has increased access to this vital service.
