Approval of second amendment to BOS Agreement No. 22-111 with LACO Associates to provide disaster prevention, recovery, resiliency, and mitigation grant research and grant writing services in the amount of $80,000 for fiscal year 2022-23 for a new agreement amount of $230,000; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Board approved the original agreement of $100,000 at the May 17, 2022 meeting and approved an amendment of an additional $50,000 at the January 10, 2023 meeting.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
LACO Associates was contracted to research the availability of federal, state, and private grant programs to identify potential funding sources and preparing and submitting grant applications on behalf of the County. This contract has been crucial to the County's effort to secure and leverage grant funding for disaster recovery projects. Under this amendment, an additional $30,000 will be for LACO's work supporting PRRM's current grant projects and $50,000 to prepare the Federal Highway Administration's Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program using the Carbon Reduction Funds.
