Ratify submission of grant application for the California Department of Health Care Services' Telehealth Expansion Project for Mental Health Services Grant, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) SOR 2 Coronavirus Telehealth Project, administered by the Sierra Health Foundation; and approval of retroactive grant Subcontract No. CA21MAT555 in the amount of $99,445, effective November 20, 2021 to November 30, 2022; authorize the Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Director to sign any future amendments that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On July 28, 2021, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) submitted its application for the Telehealth Expansion for Mental Health Services Grant from California Department of Health Care Services, administered by Sierra Health Foundation. On October 28, 2021, funding was awarded which resulted in the proposed retroactive Agreement.

The purpose of this behavioral health telehealth infrastructure improvement project is to address the needs of individuals with serious mental illness, or with serious emotional disturbances. BHRS plans to use the funds to institute a fully functioning telehealth program to effectively provide...
