Approve Agreement with Redwood Community Services, Inc., in the amount of $90,140, to provide Expanded Subsidized Employment for California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids Welfare-to-Work participants, effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The proposed Agreement with Redwood Community Services, Inc. (RCS) in the amount of $90,140, includes employee wages while providing for a comprehensive and cohesive training program to develop or enhance employment skills of California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) Welfare-to-Work (WTW) participants during the 25-26 fiscal year. Services will include subsidized employment for participants while they develop the skills and work history needed to obtain self-sufficiency. In addition to offering training with basic soft skills, RCS will teach participants the specifics of the position they are hired for and help them establish the references needed to move forward.
