Approve Agreement with County of Siskiyou for youth detention services provided by County of Mendocino Juvenile Hall for the period of July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, at a daily bed rate of $175.000 and reimbursement for medical related expenses, with an option to extend the Agreement for an additional one-year period; authorize the Chief Probation Officer to sign any future amendments that do not increase the total Agreement amount; and authorize the Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Siskiyou County Probation contracts with other counties for their juvenile detention services as they no longer operate a juvenile detention facility in their county. Siskiyou County Probation requested to enter into a daily bed rate contract with Mendocino County in the event that other counties with whom they were contracting had insufficient bed space to accommodate their needs. This agreement would provide a daily bed rate of $175.00 on an as-needed basis when Mendocino County Juvenile Hall has available capacity. This is a revenue agreement for Mendocino County. Siskiyou County will be invoiced on a monthly basis for daily housing as well as other costs such as medica services, medication, etc.
